Yamanote Line
The Yamanote Line is a railway line of the JR East. This is a circular line and connects Tokyo’s main stations (Ueno, Shinjuku, Shibuya, etc.). A complete tour of the line takes about an hour and trains are very frequent in both directions. It can be very useful for those who have a Japan Rail Pass and in this case it can replace the metro lines.
Trains at peak hours are very frequent, about one every 2-3 minutes.
A special feature of the Yamanote is that each stop has its own music and one story says that the train operators on this line have a guaranteed place in heaven.
