Tokyo
Tokyo has been the capital of Japan since 1867, when it took its current name (previously it was called Edo). About 13 million people live in the capital and it is divided into 23 districts. Tokyo overlooks the bay of the same name on Japan’s southern coast.
Among the most famous districts are Shinjuku, Shibuya, Asakusa, Ueno, Ginza and Roppongi.
Tokyo offers all kinds of entertainment, from museums to clubs, from gardens to nightlife. In short, you can find everything you could want from a city in the Japanese capital.
