How to get to Nagoya

Shinkansen from Kyoto, Osaka or Tokyo

Nagoya is traversed by the Tokaido Shinkansen line. From Shin-Osaka and Kyoto the train takes about 37 to 65 minutes and the ticket costs 5170 Yen (non-reserved seats)
From Tokyo, on the other hand, the train takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes and the ticket costs 10560 Yen (non-reserved seats)

The Hikari and Kodama Shinkansen are included in the Japan Rail Pass, you can take the Nozomi for an extra charge.

Bus

From Tokyo, you can take night buses that take 5 to 6 hours and tickets cost between 2000 and 6500 Yen.

JR Hida Limited Express train from Takayama

The train connects Takayama to Nagoya in 2 hours and 25 minutes and the single ticket costs 5610 Yen (non-reserved seat).

The train is included in the Japan Rail Pass.

Meitetsu Railway μ-SKY Limited Express

(37 minuti – 980 Yen)

The airport is located 40 km south of the city. You can reach Nagoya by Meitetsu train from the airport to the central station. The journey takes 37 minutes and the ticket for the Rapid Express service costs 980 Yen, while for the Mu-Sky Limited Express service the ticket costs 1430 Yen. An additional 450 Yen is charged for first class.

The train is NOT included in the Japan Rail Pass.

(75 minutes – 2000 Yen)

Il bus collega l’aeroporto al con i principali hotel della città fino al terminal Meitetsu di Nagoya (affianco alla stazione JR) in 75 minuti ad un prezzo di 2000 Yen.
