How to get to Mount Fuji

Bus to Subaru Line
From Shinjuku or Tokyo station, take the Fujikyo Bus, Keio Bus or JR Bus. The one-way ticket costs 2950 Yen (2650 Yen if purchased online) and the bus takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
From Fujisan Station or Kawaguchiko Station, take the Fujikyo Bus. A one-way ticket costs 1570 Yen and a return ticket costs 2300 Yen. The journey time is approximately 55 minutes.
Bus to Subashiri
From Gotemba Station, take the Fujikyo Bus at a cost of 1540 Yen (one way) or 2060 Yen (round trip). The journey takes about 1 hour.
Train to Kawaguchiko
From Shinjuku take the JR train on the JR Chuo Line to Otsuki. From here take the Fujikyo Railways train to Kawaguchiko. This journey takes 2 hours and 50 minutes and costs 2510 Yen.
In the evening, there are 2 direct JR trains from Tokyo station to Kawaguchiko.
From 16 March 2019, the new JR Limited Express Fuji Excursion train from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko will operate. There are 8 trains per day (4 outward and 4 return). The ticket price is 4130 Yen and the journey time is about 1 hour and 50 minutes. If you have a Japan Rail Pass, you will still have to pay an extra 1770 Yen (for the Otsuki to Kawaguchiko route, which is owned by the Fujikyu company).

Bus from Shinjuku, Shibuya, Tokyo to Kawaguchiko
From Shinjuku Station you can take the Highway Buses to Kawaguchiko for 2000 Yen (one way), from here there are buses to other locations in the area. Other buses also leave from Shibuya Station and Tokyo Station.
If you want to visit the Chureito Pagoda first, get off at Chuodo Shimoyoshida (1950 Yen).
Bus from Mishima to Asahigaoka and Kawaguchiko
From Mishima you can take a direct Fujikyu Bus to Asahigaoka and Kawaguchiko (2300 Yen one way, 4200 Yen round trip).
Train to Odawara, Mishima, Shin-Matsuda and Shin-Fuji
From Tokyo Station take the train on the JR Tokaido Line or the Shinkansen
From Shinjuku Station take the Odakyu Railways train to Shin-Matsuda or Odawawa
Train to Fujinomiya
From Tokyo Station take the train to Fuji. From there continue on the JR Minobu Line to Fujinomiya.
From Mishima station, the bus costs 2390 Yen and takes 2 hours.
Fuji Hakone Pass
This pass costs 9340 Yen and allows you to travel to the Fuji area and use various local transport services. It is valid for 3 consecutive days.
You can buy the pass at Odakyu stations in Shinjuku and Odawara and at Fujikyu stations in Otsuki and Kawaguchiko.
