Miyajima

The island of Itsukushima, or more commonly known as Miyajima, is a sacred island in Japan. It is located near the coast a few kilometres from Hiroshima. According to Japanese tradition, one cannot be born or even die on this island.

From Mount Misen, at an altitude of more than 500 metres, you can enjoy an excellent view.

On the island you will find deer roaming freely.

To visit the island you have to pay a fee of 100 yen which will go into a fund for the preservation of Miyajima.
