Himeji
Himeji is a town located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, famous for its splendid castle and the magnificent Koko-en garden attached to it. Himeji Castle, also known as the White Heron Castle because of its elegant structure, was built in the 16th century and has been extensively restored while maintaining its original beauty.
The castle consists of no less than 83 buildings, all connected by a series of corridors and bridges. In addition, the castle is surrounded by a moat and a vast park full of cherry trees in blossom during spring. The Koko-en garden, on the other hand, covers an area of about 3.5 hectares and consists of nine separate parks, each with its own atmosphere and characteristics. Himeji is a popular destination for tourists seeking to immerse themselves in the history and beauty of ancient Japan.
